1. From the exercise in Emery Lesson Eight, please diagram the following examples: 6, 7, 8, 16
2. Re-read Emery Lesson Nine, and then diagram just the following examples from the exercise in that Lesson: 2-5.
3. Also diagram the following sentence with a gerund :"Her job was greeting the customers." Try to explain how could you tell (even if I hadn't told you about the gerund :)) that you shouldn't diagram the predicate the same way it would be diagrammed in the sentence "Mary was greeting the customers."
