<--- The DJ45, completed in December 2021, is my first jumbo steel string guitar. The handmade marquetry rosette features multi-colors in a Christian theme. The theme continues into scrimshaw on the handcut ivory oval fret markers. I like to credit the amazing tone and sustain to the Spanish Footer, three-piece neck with two graphite reinforcement rods and centric reinforcement to the rosette and soundhole. See these features and more by clicking on the photo to the left.

My next guitar will be a similar adaptation of the Gibson J-45. It will feature curly koa, three-piece neck with graphite reinforcements and a traditional marquetry rosette. Find "Dragonhart" on Facebook to follow construction. Post your guitar and dragon thoughts there, too.

<--- Introducing Lady Sprite, DragonHart's little sister. Click on her (at left) to see this burst of guitar energy and to follow her links. She features a hand-carved black cherry archtop, wild cherry sides and carved archback, and mother of pearl inlay. Imagine diverse electric abilities with a great acoustic edge and superb sustain. The P-90 pickups are particularly good.

Other links below take you back almost 40 years to see my hand made collection and guitar construction techniques. Check out the handmade rosettes.

See my first VIDEO: Chuck With Lady Sprite on Youtube (224mb video, January 2015). Much thanks to my son Kevin for his help here.

Lady Sprite is a light-weight, acoustic/electric guitar ready for anything from melodic open chords to sustained electric feedback - with Rockabilly and Rythm & Blues inbetween. Also featuring cocobolo bindings, three-piece neck, mother-of-pearl inlay theme from fingerboard to faceplate, and, of course, the exotic theme carved archtop. Equipped with double P90 pickups, Black Ice overdrive, Schaller Roller bridge and Bigsby B3 trapeze tremolo. Just click on the Lady's picture, above.
