Upper Level Courses for the IDLS Mathematics/Science concentration:
Students in the Mathematics/Science concentration should complete:
MATH 304 Fundamentals of Algebra
MATH 305 Fundamentals of Geometry & Measurement
MATH 306 Fundamentals of Analysis
MATH 307 Fundamentals of Probability and Statistics
as well as appropriate science courses. (Consult the appropriate

The courses in the IDLS mathematics core are designed to meet teacher preparation
recommendation for elementary grade level from NCTM content standards,
MAA recommendations, and recommendation of the CBMS
Mathematical Education of Teachers document. Collectively,
all of the mathematics courses in the Mathematics/Science concentration meet
the additional content recommendations of these organizations for grades k-5 and
5-8.
