• Find and write down the quote on our online syllabus just below the tentative schedule for the semester.
• Write two different very short summaries (rough guideline: about 80-100 words each) for "Only Human@quot; -- one summarizing the elements of the plot (the progression of action in the story), a second summarizing the way the narrator's perspective is visible in the narration
• Label each paragraph for the type of summary it provides and explain how you decided what particular information to include/exclude from each paragraph.
• Describe one way that summarizing requires you to be an "active" reader.
