Instructions:(This will be graded only as an acceptable or unacceptable effort. One of the goals of this exercise is to have you think about HOW an author, your culture, and your personal life experiences can shape your response to a literary work.

1. Choose SIX quotes from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and write them down (with chapter and page numbers) Your six quotes should meet the following criteria:
   
   • They should all be taken from Chapters 1-17 of the novel
   • They should each be from a different chapter, with at least two from this Thursday's reading.
   • At least two of the quotes should be related to one or more thematic issues in the novel.
   • At least two should NOT be chosen for relevance to a theme in the novel, but instead for relevance to character development, setting, plot advancement, aesthetics, or anything else of interest.
   • Each quote should seem particularly significant to you in some way.
2. For each quote, also write down one sentence describing why you chose it or what seemed particularly significant about it to you.
