1. List at least 5 content words in English (other than those mentioneds examples in your text or other such references) that you believe to be monomorphemic, including at least two that are multisyllabic.
2. List at least 5 content words in English that you believe to be polymorphemic, including at least two that are monosyllabic.
3. Write down a sentence at least 10 words long from a written source (a favorite novel or story?) and then remove all the words that you think are function words. Is the basic meaning of the sentence still intact? What is lost?
4. Give one example of a word created in your lifetime. Is it monomorphemic or polymorphemic?
5. Do Exercise 2 on page 108-9 in your text.
6. Make your best attempt at exercise 4 on page 109.
