  1. Do each of the follwoing exercises from the back of the Semantics chapter (Chapter 4):
    1. Exercise 24, examples c-g
    2. Exercise 25, examples c-h
  2. Listen for (or look in your reading for) just one example where someone provides information indircctly, through implicature, rather than directly. Write down the example, briefly describe the context, and explain what Maxim you think is "flouted" to allow for this implicature.
  3. Do each of the following exercises from the back for Chapter 5 in your text:
    1. Exercise 1, except for example d - but explain why I excluded d.
    2. Exercise 2, except for b and f - but explain why those were excluded.
