  1. Do the exercise at the end the chapter 7 in our textbook on words in British English vs. American English (Exercise 5).
  2. Also do the exercise on English language games at the end of that chapter (Exercise 7)
  3. List any three EUPHEMISMS that you use or hear used by others.
  4. Write down any one adjective that you think you may be more likely to use in describing a man OR one you think you're more likely to use in describing a woman. Note which gender it is that you're more likely to associate that word with. (Just as an example, some people may be more likely to use "dizzy" to describe the personality of a woman than the personality of a man.)
  5. Looking ahead to first language acquisition, do each of the following exercises from the back of Chapter 9 in your text:
