1. Do Exercise 11, part A, on page 62 in your text. You can just write your answer in an ordinary sentence; you do not need to use rule notation.
2. Do Exercise 13, but just examples 1-3, on p. 65 in your text. (Note that these are not necessarily real rules for English. You are trying to figure out how to read rule notation.)
3. Extra practice with phonetic transcriptions. Try putting the appropriate marker on the stressed syllable in the multisyllabic words. (You are welcome to try to add some diacritic details too :) ):
