  Choose two characters (protagonists and/or other reasonably foregrounded characters)in David Brin's story and compare them with some reflections on the possible significance(s) of the similarities and differences between them. Bodies (including species), moral/philosophical qualities, intellect, creativity, and language are just some of the possible points of comparison to consider. Choose two or more that you think together make for a particular interesting and rich comparison between your characters.
