• Choose a topic for your research paper. Describe that general topic and give a first stab at your main point/thesis. (Note that you are quite welcome to have your main point/thesis change as you continue to work on your topic!)
• Using the Linguistics and Language Behaviour Abstracts (LLBA) research database, do a keyword search on at least THREE different terms (or combinations of terms) that are well targeted for finding the kinds of research relevant to your proposed topic. What were your search terms and which seemed most useful so far?
• Find out the names of TWO potentially relevant linguistics journals or conference proceedings that our library wither carries in hardcopy or provides access to in electronic format. List these sources and explain why they might be relevant.
• Get an actual copy of at least one article or book that may be useful in your research. What is the full citation for that source?
