CourseInfo

Presently, the HelpDesk is front-ending the new distance learning tool called "CourseInfo". Expectations are that we will help users with the basic steps of logging in and navigating the pages within the site. Problems with logins, accounts, training issues will be forwarded to the phone numbers listed below. At this point, the trainers and system staff are expecting us to call them on the phone with these types of problems.

Users calling with navigational problems will be assisted by the front line staff and the Backups at the HelpDesk.

What is it?

Blackboard CourseInfo and Blackboard CourseInfo Enterprise Edition (previously named Blackboard Campus during development) power the online teaching and learning environments at colleges, universities and K-12 school districts around the world.

Built from the ground up for education, Blackboard’s product line was initially developed in collaboration with faculty members from Cornell University and other leading institutions.

Blackboard CourseInfo products enable educators to enhance in-class instruction and/or deliver distance learning by bringing their course materials, class discussions, assignments and quizzes to the Web.

What do I need on my computer to run CourseInfo?

CourseInfo works best with I.E. version 3.0 or higher. Netscape will work but it is not the recommended browser for this application.

How do I connect to CourseInfo?

Simply go to http://courseinfo.jmu.edu/ and login. Everyone's login username is the same as your e-mail username. Most people in training at this point have been assigned passwords in advance of their training sessions.

How are we handling password resets?

Password resets will be handled as always by bringing a photo ID to the HelpDesk.

Who are the contact people for CourseInfo?
