DMI

What is it?

DMI is an acronym for Desktop Management Interface. DMI is an industry standard management framework widely deployed to manage computer systems.

It has been our experience that Dell has it's own flavor of DMI that is on board shipped computers here at JMU. It has also been our experience that it may conflict with JMU supported software. If you are getting calls for dll files that seem to be related to applications that are not on the computer, you may have a conflict with DMI. It has it's own key in the Run Once on the HKey local machine in the registry. Any questions see Kevin Conrow or Lon Jarvis.
