There is a sullen troika of singers(poets) - Shikhmatov, Shakhovskoi, Shishkov, It's a troika of enemies of the intellect, Our Shishkov, Shakhovskoi, Shikhmatov, But who is the dumbest of the evil troika? Shishkov, Shikhmatov, Shakhovskoi!
Полу-милорд, полу-купец, Полу-мудрец, полу-невежда, Полу-подлец, но есть надежда, Что будет полным наконец.	Half m'lord, half merchant, Half sage, half ignoramous, Half scoundrel, but there is hope, That he will be complete at last. note: the word полный can mean complete or fat

At dinner I overate, And Jacob locked the door by mistake -- So it was for me, my friends, Both kiukhelbekerly and painful. Kiukhelbeker was one of Pushkin's friends and classmates at the Lyceum in Tsarskoe Selo. Kiukhelbeker took offence at Pushkin's forming his name into an adverb that seemed to mean "nauseous," "nasty," or "painful."
