Algebra/Precalculus Gateway Course

Announcements and Advice

• Welcome to Math 199!

• During the first week you should:
  • register for MyMathTest
  • take all five online Qualifying tests
  • study what you missed with the Study Plan in MyMathTest
  • visit the Science and Math Learning Center for help
  • go to one or both of the help sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings
  • keep taking online Qualifying tests until you "qualify" with 8/10 or better
  • take the Gateway tests that you qualified for on Friday night 5-8pm

• Your grade is determined how many weeks it takes you to pass all five Gateway tests in the proctored Friday sessions.

• Once you pass all five Gateway tests, you are done with the course!
