POW #4: Relabeling Dice
Using a normal pair of 6-sided dice, the probability of rolling a 2
is 1/36, the probability of rolling a 3 is 2/36,
and so on. Relabel the sides of each die with positive integers
in such a way that the new pair of dice produces the same set of
probabilities (in other words, so that using the new pair of dice is
equivalent to using the normal pair of dice). Note that the two
alternate dice need not share the same labeling. Explain how your arrived
at your labeling.
