Answer to POW #8:
After multiplying both sides of the equation by 6, and then by 6^x,
and doing some easy algebra,
we arrive at an equation that is quadratic in 6^x:
(6^x)^2 - 12(6^x) + 1 = 0
After using the quadratic formula and doing some other elementary
operations, we arrive at two solutions (I apologize for the ugly typing):
x = ln(6+sqrt{35})/ln(6) and
x = ln(6-sqrt{35})/ln(6)
