POW #3: Coloring a Cube
Suppose each of the six identical faces of a cube is to be painted one of
three different colors (red, white, and blue). How many distinct cubes
can be created?
(Hint: There is a poster on the first floor of Burruss Hall that shows an
easier case of this problem, where only two colors are used.
It might help to do this simpler problem as a warm-up.
