Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching
Duke University, 1997 and 1999

In 1997 I was one of two recipients (university-wide) of this annual award from the Duke University Graduate School. In 1999 I was again honored with this award. Teachers must be nominated by their students, who write essays justifying the nomination, to be eligible for this award.
