My name is Anthony Tongen and I am currently an Assistant Professor at James Madison Univeristy. My main responsibilities include teaching, research and service to the department, University, and community.
I am married to a wonderful woman named Megan
(click here for a
wedding picture). Megan and I met at a Christian, athletic camp
called Summer's Best Two Weeks (SB2W).
It was a great place for both of us, but in different ways. Megan came to
know the Lord while attending SB2W as a child. I was a believer when I
worked at SB2W, but I was able to find many men and women with common
interests who had a passion for Christ that I had not seen many other
places. SB2W is where we met and it turned out to be a fitting place for
us to get engaged as well.
Megan had our first child on 3/29/04; his name is
Micah Brian Tongen. Megan had our second child
on 10/07/06; his name is Paul William Tongen. Pictures are available on
