AlgebWrist is an application that explores possible supports for learning algebra by allowing one
to enter an algebra expression or equation and manipulate that formula following a pre-determined collection of available algebra rules.
Enter your starting expression. Any characters or words other than \(x\), \(y\) and \(z\) immediately followed by an open parenthesis are presumed to be functions. If you want this to be a variable, you must type an asterisk for explicit multiplication.
Manipulate your expression by moving through the tree structure and selecting appropriate transformations. You can double click on elements to select that step or use the navigation arrows. You can drag elements onto one another and the most natural rule will be applied. Or you can select a rule from the list below.
