MKTG 498 Syllabus

This week's homework assignment is a group assignment and is designed to help you with your group project. This assignment is intended to stimulate your thinking about possible Web site strategies and designs for your client.

First, define broadly the industry in which your client is competing. For example, if your client was a physician's office, this client would be competing in the healthcare industry.

Next, find examples of the middle 15 stages of web site development within this industry (you won't need to find examples of the Launch or the Closed Loop stages). You should be using search engines to help you with project. While some stages may be harder to find than others, only give up looking when you are pretty sure you can't find an example (if I can find an example with a little searching, you will be marked down).

Finally, develop an annotated Bookmarks file for each stage. While you only need one example of each stage, briefly tell me in your annotation why you think that site is an example of that stage.

Each group will turn in one printed copy of your Bookmarks file and one Bookmarks file on diskette (so I can follow your links and evaluate your choices). This assignment is due on Tuesday, March 11, 1997.
