Persons staying at the Jameson can walk or drive down Evelyn Byrd Avenue to the Harrisonburg Crossing shopping center. There are several affordable local and chain restaurants in this center, including Franco's (pizza and Italian food in a comfortably gracious atmosphere), China Express, Qdoba (burritos), Panera Bread (sandwiches, soups and baked goods), and a Starbucks inside the Barnes and Noble. Lunch or dinner at any of these restaurants could be bought for under $10. For more local flavour, the Little Grill Collective at 621 North Main offers home-cooked vegetarian and non-vegetarian favourites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Court Square downtown (where Route 33 intersects Main Street) offers two coffee shops, the Daily Grind and the Artful Dodger, Calhoun's pub and microbrewery, Mrs. Hardesty's Tea Room, and Dave's Taverna (Mediterranean food). The Little Grill is comparable in price to the restaurants in Harrisonburg Crossing; the others are slightly more expensive. |
