  1. Diagram each of the following sentences (Remember that you can use Emery Lesson Eight for guidelines on the diagramming with conjunctsion other than the conjunctions of whole clauses. :) ):

    3. The oldest and weakest victims should be helped quickly.
    4. The speaker's tired eyes were blinking and squinting.
    5. That novice chef can only cook spaghetti and meatloaf.
    6. All the men and women followed the correct directions.
    7. Several rather sneaky boys must have been carefully and quietly slipping one another messages.
    8. They wanted and got extra funds or more time.

    10. My very social and somewhat active grandmother travels here and there.
    11. Either dragons died out, or they did not ever really exist.

  2. Find in your reading (But not in this assignment or in Emery :)) one sentence that has at least two coordinating (or correlative) conjunctions in it. Write down the sentence and underline the conjunctions.
  3. Rewrite the following sentence in its past progressive passive form: "The neighbors decorate all the houses for Halloween."
