• Three of the articles now available on Blackboard under Documents/Readings are annotated as "Options for Assignment 5." Choose ONE of these articles for your use in this assignment. This is not a regular reading for the course; you don't need to do a QTC for this article. Instead, for your chosen article, you only need to find one specific point of comparison with the Johnson article we discussed on 1/22 and one point of contrast with that same text.
  

  Then write up at least one good paragraph or so each on the point of comparison and the point of contrast. (The purpose of the assignment is to get you to develop your understanding of (and potentially appreciation for) how scholars are making their arguments and to break from the pattern of reading texts as scholarly truths to be memorized and accepted. J Again, none of the three choices for this assignment is a central reading for our course, so you needn’t dissect every detail. Choose details that you feel you can talk about carefully.)
