Hello!!
Just like the sticker says, my name is William Deacon. I am currently a junior at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia (www.jmu.edu). I am majoring in Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Interactive Media (SMAD homepage) and a Computer Information Systems minor. I am planning on graduating in May, 2010. Here at JMU, am a member of the James Madison University Marching Royal Dukes as well as a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity (Beta Zeta class, Spring 2007).
I was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. I attended Brookville High School (class of 2006), where I was 29th in my class of over 200 people with an advanced diploma. I was very active in high school. Some of my activities included: President of YOVASO (Youth of Virginia Speak Out About Traffic Safety), National Honor Society, Marching Band Section Leader, Bible Club and many others.
I am also still very active in my hometown. In Lynchburg, I am a member of the Brookville-Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department (BTVFD website) where I am a Firefighter and EMT-Basic. I am also an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America. I contribute much of my leadership drive and determination to these two activities.
