Ellen Lupton | Welcome to Busytown
Or, How to Be a Graphic Designer without Growing Up

November 8 | Harrison 1261 | 7 p.m.

Building on her current exhibition Graphic Design: Now in Production and other recent projects, curator and writer Ellen Lupton will assess the current state of graphic design. Our field has expanded from a specialized, largely invisible profession to an open-access enterprise. Designers are becoming authors, publishers, instigators, and entrepreneurs, while the general public has increasing acces to design tools. Learn about the post-millennial scene of do-it-yourself publishing and the entrepreneurial spirit of the designer-turned-producer. Where do you fit in this rapidly changing world?
