I find posters to be particularly interesting tasks. Being a very image oriented person, posters allow me to apply my knowledge of creating a good image to creating an eye catching, informational print. My process tends to be layout first, type second, image third, and details fourth. Although I think a powerful image speaks more to the topic than the text itself, the text is often times the go to avenue of communication.
Believing in Geometry
Adobe Illustrator
This poster was created for a talk primarily on how Oliver Byrne's 1847 editition of Euclid'd Elements is effective in teaching geometry in the form of proofs due to its visually arresting nature. I actually took this professor's class with the same book and felt that the information was progressivly built up and each proof was very closely tied to the proof before and after it.
