Who We Are
After seeing the need for an advertising club on campus, MAAF President, Caitlyn Fralin, spoke with John Guiniven, a SMAD Corporate Communications professor. It was not long after that the club was up and running! It was officially formed in September 2010 at JMU. The name MAAF was created by members as an extension to the American Advertising Federation, or AAF. Currently, we are working on establishing the club as an official JMU club and affiliating with AAF.


Our Objectives
The objectives we created are to be accomplished within the next two years, by May 2012.

  1. To promote awareness of 75% of all SMAD, SCOM, ART and MARKETING majors by recognition of our logo and attain at least 50 members.
  2. To complete 15 campaigns for on and off-campus organizations and firms.
  3. To establish an annual trip to an AD agency to aid in our competition at the NASC.
