Located at 131 Grace Street, within a short walk from Montpelier Hall, artWorks Gallery is a loft space located in the former Graves Electric building. artWorks is JMU’s student-run gallery, exhibiting work by undergraduate and graduate students. The gallery features moveable walls; hardwood floors; large windows; and a high, open ceiling. Exhibits change, on average, every two weeks. Opening receptions are held on the first Monday of each show from 5-7pm. For information on exhibitions and to verify hours of operation, please call 540.568.7175. Exhibitions in the artWorks Gallery are sponsored by the School of Art, Design and Art History.

EXHIBITIONS
To apply to exhibit your work in Artworks for the semester, please look for sign-up posters located in the Montpelier Hall main entrance during the fall and spring semesters or e-mail ArtWorks at artworks.gallery@gmail.com to schedule a meeting that better fits your schedule. Students should bring an artist statement, images of their work, and a written description of what they plan to exhibit, including approximate number of pieces, space needed, and any extra materials required.
