Math 103: The Nature of Mathematics (Fall 2006)
Announcements
There are three required items for this course, all of which are
available from the JMU bookstore:
(1) A small custom-published book consisting mostly of exerpts from a
math book by Scheinerman
(2) A Japanese puzzle book called "PenpaMIX", which
is going to initially look very confusing if you don't happen to
speak Japanese
(3) the card game "Set" (feel free to play this game before the first day of
class!)
