Hey there, I'm Amanda!
Some may call me cliché, but ever since I was young, I knew I had to pursue art. There was just no way I could have what I would consider a "fulfilling life" without it being a significant part. For me, art is not solely the sculptures in the Metropolitan Museum of art, or the pieces hanging on the walls of the Louvre. Art surrounds us.
As far back as I can recall, there was never anything would choose to do over a creative activity, I have always been this way. I am visually stimulated by the world around me, aspects of life that are most frequently overlooked, as well as everyday life experiences motivate me.In such a fast paced society that we live in, there is a great need to step back and admire the qualities of everyday life. For this reason, no matter what medium I use, my art is always highly detailed. I believe this is a reflection of my lifestyle since from day to day, I take note of all my surroundings even the miniscule details, so commonly overlooked.
When people view my art, not only do I want them to see its aesthetic qualities, but also to appreciate its deeper value. I want my art to somehow always interact with the viewer, not simply have them look. I would like them to see, to question, and to feel.
