This was a project I did outside of school in my free time. I chose to focus on the way light strikes surfaces. I chose leaves with raindrops on them as my subject so I could experiment with the highlights and different textures.

I did this drawing on black paper with white pencils to stray away from the usual black on white. This allows for a completely different drawing style, accentuating the highlight and erasing the shadows.
