factors of polynomials, synthetic division.
Section 2. Limits and derivatives of polynomial functions.
Continuity, local and global behavior, derivatives.
Section 3. Graphing polynomial functions. Repeated roots,
graphs of polynomial functions, finding a polynomial function that
fits a given graph (i.e., "modeling").
Section 4. Optimization with polynomial functions. Word
problems! These are "applied max/min problems. To "optimize" is to
"maximize or minimize", as the case may be.
