The app is completely dynamic and ready for graphical updates to make it look better to the user. The front end team is facing issues getting the map within the app re-update, and are looking in to add an android version of the app. The team has started interviewing people on how the app looks and they are updating the appearance of the app and making it more user-friendly.

Planning and Navigation

The team is working with some server issues. Luckily, the software components all coordinate and they match the architecture diagram that was designed earlier in the semester.

Sensing and Processing

This week the sensing and processing team is working with localization and velocity. The team has been having problems with the localization of the cart regarding accuracy and speed. The team has decided to calculate velocity based on latitude and longitude.

Motor Control

The team used SolidWorks technology to design mounting plates for the linear actuator and the gear stepper motors and they will mill actual mounting plates out of aluminum based on the design. The team also started constructing a prototype emergency brake that will disengage the autonomous driving system and allow for manual override.
