Homework List:
The following is a running list of the assigned homework problems.
The assignments are grouped into "weekly chunks" and each Friday
morning I will collect the homework due for that week.
All problems refer to the
exercises in our textbook "Linear Algebra and Differential Equations,"
by Peterson and Sochacki, Addison-Wesley, 2002.
***Bonus and Resubmit
Policy***:
1. I will often assign bonus
problems. If you solve a bonus problem flawlessly I will add one
point to your homework grade for that week. There will be no
partial credit on bonus problems.
2. After I return your
assignment to you, you will have one week to resubmit to me any
homework problems that you got wrong. There will be no partial
credit on resubmissions--all or nothing--so your work must be flawless.
If flawless, I will return half of the credit that I originally
took off. You are welcome to get help from me before resubmitting.

Read that again carefully.***]

to compute them yourself!***]

Aside from the examples in Section 4.3, you can also look at the
examples in Section 4.5. These are physics applications problems,
but you will see that the method being used to solve the equations is
the "method of undetermined coefficients."
