DragonHart's most current design. Parchment paper, from the kitchen supplies, is a pretty decent tracing paper, about 16 inches wide. The generic design with contours is first transferred to the parchment paper. On the parchment, we can lay out dragon carving, sound holes and anything else for this specific instrument. From the parchment paper, carbon paper is used to transfer the design to the wood. Parchment DragonLinks

On the master design, the center line cross section is drawn alongside the top view to determine thickness along the center line. These depths later mapped to the sound board for thicknessing. |
