Resawing. A couple of things about resawing beams into bookmatched halves for instrument construction.
This poplar beam is about 2" thick x 10" tall x 28" long. It has been marked with a line. Eighteen inch, 3hp bandsaw has fence with resaw post to help guide cut. Will all so used resaw push-block to help with accuracy and safety of cut.

These bookmatched boards are ready to be joined. The blade was old and 4 tpi, leaving brown/burnt streaks. A new blade at 1.3 tpi gave great results. It cuts clean and fast enough to wander from the line if you aren't careful.
